Sita Cox – Kent Mediator and Barrister
Sita qualified as a Barrister in 1987 and has been practicing as a barrister in private practice in Stour Chambers in Canterbury since 1991. Since qualifying as a Family Mediator in 2010 her focus has been on helping clients to approach their problems in an innovative and creative way to avoid going to court.
Her in depth knowledge of the legal system, as well as her empathy and understanding of personal issues and the stress involved in a high conflict situation, has enabled many of her clients to reach an agreement without having to go to court.
Sita qualified as a Civil Mediator in 2015 and now offers a full range of mediation services. Her greatest professional strength is her personal commitment to the job: She understands how stressful the mediation process can be for both Civil and Family clients and is skilled in dealing with disputes by using strategies to helping those involved to get through the process with as little anxiety as possible.
Sita provides her clients with a good and strong basis to resolve issues on a realistic and practical basis. She facilitates her clients to analyze the issues, risks and approach matters in a practical and creative way; this allows her clients to find a realistic solution.
Sita has experience with dealing with various family matters including;
