Sita Cox – Kent Mediator and Barrister
Qualified as a Family Mediator in 2010 and has practised as Barrister since 1989. My experience of working with clients over the years and in depth knowledge of the legal system, provides me with a good and strong basis to assist my clients to resolve issues on a realistic and practical basis.. I can help my clients to analyse the issues and approach matters in a practical and creative way; this allows my clients to feel empowered to find a realistic solution to build upon for the future.
It is my role as a mediator to make all parties feel enabled to put their views forward, listened to and to make sure that all parties are respectful. Mediation can be stressful and demanding as parties often feel they are in a room with a person they do not wish to see; it is my role to help all parties to cope with the mediation process and to set boundaries.
With over 20 years of dealing with various family matters, which includes residence, contact, child and spousal maintenance, financial provision, trust of land applications and inheritance Act claims, I understand that this is a difficult time and clients need information and support to come to good decisions. I cannot give legal advice in mediation but my experience allows me to help my clients identify what is important to their decision making.
I am a member of the F.M.A, Bar Council and the F.L.B.A and I accept Direct Access Instructions.
